Description
In the dialect of the Tohoku (Northeastern) region of Japan, Agasuke means "make pretty". Behind the irony of the name is a delicate craftsmanship that reveals not just a dressing up of the shape, but a deliberate, finely made work of art. The glaze is thinly applied, and hair-thin lines are carved into the surface to create an exquisite texture.
